Ridgefield High School senior raises $500 for Meals on Wheels

Joe Fazio, a senior at Ridgefield High School, has been out selling baked goods for the past two months around Ridgefield with the goal of raising $500 for Meals on Wheels of Ridgefield.

Fazio developed his “Bake Sale on Wheels” to be a mobile bake sale, and he went around to local sporting events and heavily trafficked areas around Ridgefield to sell the baked goods that he, his mother and sister prepared the night before.

Fazio reached his goal and presented the funds to Meals on Wheels of Ridgefield. Congressman Jim Himes’s staff assistant, Sean Higgins, was also in attendance to present Fazio with a Certificate of Special Recognition from Himes.
